National symposium on The First Saudi National communication to the United Nations Framework Convention of Climate Change (UNFCCC)

The Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME) is the central agency for the Environment in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. PME functions and responsibilities include proposing environmental laws and regulations, assessment and evaluation of pollution levels, planning and managing environmental risks and emergencies. PME established a climate change coordination unit at PME, HQ, consisting of national project coordinator. A team work of national scientists; economists and professionals were appointed to research into different climate change tasks. The work team members are:
